Question: How much would it cost to move a hot water cylinder. The cylinder is relatively new with factory fitted insulation and in good condition (so it doesn't need replacing). It's currently in a cupboard in the bathroom, but we would like to move it into another cupboard in the hall (same floor).
I wouldn't even quote on this until I'd seen it. In short the best answer is get tradesmen in to view and quote. To guess the work involved or rely on a description from a customer that's untrained and doesn't know exactly what's required will only lead to problems down the line, like unaccounted costs and budgets increasing. Is it pressurised, is it gravity fed. How far is the cupboard away etc as most likely floorboards will be required to be lifted put back etc. I'd budget between £600 and £1000 depending on how far it's moving. Farther the move the more cost.
Sorry but it I would need more information really. All depends on distance, walls, electric, water supply and is it gravity feed or not. At a guess £350 plus materials plus vat. But this all depends on above it could be more. Thank you mark.
