Hey everyone,
Increased cash grants are now available for employers who take on apprentices. You’re now eligible for up to £4,000 to go towards salary, training or equipment costs. These grants are live now but move fast because they end on 30 September.
For an apprentice of any age there’s a grant of £3,000 to put towards training, salary or any equipment. This is up from £1,500 (or £2,000 for those aged 24 & under).
This is in addition to the existing £1,000 payment for all new 16-18 year-old apprentices (and those aged under 25 with an Education, Health and Care Plan, where that applies). So, an employer of a 16-18 year-old will receive £4000.
