Firstly condensation should not be a problem on the inside of the facia and this is why the soffit normally had vents to help prevent condensation build up.
Also, if you are creating the overhang out of timber, then you can't get cold bridging through timber. Cold bridging normally occurs when steel is used and passes from the outside of the building such as a balcony to the inside without isolation.
What are you constructing i.e. extension, loft conversion?
