Question: I had a fencing contractor build a new fence. Council have been in touch and told me a need planning permission as it sits on a wall and is 2m high, are contractors suppose to know legal height of a fence
@Lauren if your ground level behind the wall is level to high of wall then aloud high is 2 mitre as long fence is bolted to wall you should have no issues. But that may very on region. Best is just to check government high restrictions just in case.

Hi Peter, can I just ask for clarity on the first part of that please? @PetersHandyManServic
Sure think. If my memory serves me right 2000 mm from ground level to highest point of fence. But that may wary on region. Easy solution 1 call to council clear any doubts
