Question: Should a combi boiler service include a gas analyzer check? What paperwork should be provided on completion of a service?

@Georgia yes it should definitely include a gas analyzer test ,then the boiler book should be filled in along with a Gas service sheet

As mentioned before, this is an absolute must and should be carried out on every service/gas safety inspection.

I’ve always been under the impression an FGA check isn’t always required depending on the age of the appliance.

Sometimes there’s no analyser test point on older boilers and the flue terminal is inaccessible. In that case you’d be carrying out a strip clean, gas rate, burner pressure and checking flame picture.

With regards to paperwork on a service, it’s best practice to fill out the service booklet and provide a record of checks/work carried out.
