    Hey everyone,

We’ve found some interesting research that the Covid may have changed the way consumers find their tradesperson on Checkatrade.com.

After coming across this recent research online which shows that people are spending more time considering potential dates before swiping, we decided to do some digging on Checkatrade – and we’ve found the exact same thing!

Consumers are spending more time on trades profiles than they did this time last year – up 16.6% year on year, with an average of 40 seconds.

So, whether you’re a dater or tradesperson looking to connect with a new customer – your profile page really does matter.

So, it's more important than ever that you make sure your profile page is as appealing as possible.

We suggest that you focus on keeping the following up to date to have the best chances of ‘making a match’ with a new customer:

    • Profile text – This is your chance to sell your services and reflect all the great skills you have to offer.
    • Search description – This is the first impression customers will see of your company in the search results. Make it count.
    • Reviews – Customer trust other customers recommendations. Make sure you ask all your customers to leave you a review to build your credibility and reputation. Click here to remind your customers.
    • Photos – Showcase your work with high quality photos. Make sure to upload your recent work to show customers what you’ve been working on lately.

What changes will you be making? 😊

    Kind regards,
