After coming across this recent research online which shows that people are spending more time considering potential dates before swiping, we decided to do some digging on Checkatrade – and we’ve found the exact same thing!
Consumers are spending more time on trades profiles than they did this time last year – up 16.6% year on year, with an average of 40 seconds.
So, whether you’re a dater or tradesperson looking to connect with a new customer – your profile page really does matter.

We suggest that you focus on keeping the following up to date to have the best chances of ‘making a match’ with a new customer:
- Profile text – This is your chance to sell your services and reflect all the great skills you have to offer.
- Search description – This is the first impression customers will see of your company in the search results. Make it count.
