Can you plaster over artex?

the short answer is yes…
with the correct preparation & testing to ensure it doesn’t contain asbestos.
Certain things to consider
1. How heavy a pattern is the artex
2. Is it on a wall or ceiling
3. Has it been painted
if the artex is heavy then a lot of plaster will be needed to smooth it out- this could afftect….
1. Architrave
2. Skirting
3. Coving & Cornice
I smooth artex & textured walls & ceilings using acra ge ot Toupret ready mixed products -
