Just wanted to share my good news. It was officially announced and press released yesterday that after being nominated I have won a prestigious award!

Build Magazine 2022 Home Builder Awards: Woodwork By David J Law, Best Fitted Home Furniture Woodworking Business - West Midlands.

The magazine is a global publication and I will be index listed for life and with links to my website I will be visible worldwide! I think it is far too late to take on the world, so I will just stick with the UK!

@Nickvoc Thanks Nick, I think Dudley is probably big enough for me at the moment despite covering the UK. It is hard work on the road on your own and it's getting even harder. Thinking of getting a Del Boy three wheeler with the appropriate stickers London, Dudley, The World. After all, I am a Londoner, speak the lingo, have a flat cap and I can certainly do the banter to get a good deal!

@Lauren Thanks Lauren, it has taken a long time to get there! Yes, I like the idea of world travel, but not in connection with work, plus I don't fancy lugging all my tools and equipment about, too many cases and above weight allowance! I remember my car breaking down some years ago and having to catch a bus with a couple of bags of tools. In those days the open plumbers bags were popular with a lot of tradesmen. I found room on the bus on the top deck and put my tools under the seat. This was a rural bus route with tight country lanes so I will leave it to your imagination where my tools went when the bus did an emergency stop!

@Lauren Absolutely everywhere, I'm sure the odd tool or two must have gone missing! An embarrassing moment on a full bus, so it was very hard to round them up and do a full tool count.

😅😱🤣 That must have been the worst. I tripped up today in an empty carpark and the though of someone seeing me do that made me was to implode 🤣 So dropping things in public is the worst for me haha.

I bet it made a huge crash bang too and turned some heads
