My overall insurance for the contents of my Joinery premises i.e. machinery, power/hand tools and material stock cost me just short of £600 per year. But this covers new for old replacements (fire and theft), plus it includes full employees cover for anybody I employ including any casual labour I may use to help me when needed. On top of this I have £2,000,000 Public Liability Cover. So overall I think this is a very good package, particularly if you separated the average cost of the PLI others pay!
@ToolTalk1 i taken my cover from gas safe insurance. They have 3 covers I have one with tool cover to certain amount. Best price was from them second was direct line. But speak to them as some of line ones can be a bit confusing.worth giving both a call. Good luck mate.
